Guided by the national "dual-carbon" goals, new energy commercial vehicles are accelerating their expansion into short-distance open transportation scenarios. Recently, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor(DFLZM) went deep into the front-line coal mine transportation in the Taihang Mountains of Shanxi to conduct on-site verification of the user scenarios of the Chenglong Yiwei 5, and tested the product performance under harsh road conditions.

This test simulated the entire process of coal mine transportation, including "loading-transporting-parking-unloading". By combining connected vehicle technology and big data, the vehicle operation data was collected in real-time to form an accurate scenario evaluation report. The road conditions in the Taihang Mountains are complex. The test team selected multiple extreme road sections such as continuous winding mountain roads, groups of sharp bends, long downhill slopes, and narrow cliff roads to comprehensively verify the reliability and adaptability of the vehicle in mountain coal transportation scenarios.

Regarding the potential risk of brake fade due to overheating that traditional fuel vehicles often face on continuous long downhill sections, the Chenglong Yiwei 5 relies on the in-depth collaborative technology of intelligent braking and energy recovery to build a reliable safety protection system for downhill scenarios in mountainous areas. The measured data shows that the performance indicators of this model, such as braking force, braking distance, and braking deceleration, have reached the leading level in the industry.

On the Qinglan Line and Wuhai Line national highways, the heavy coal-transporting trucks are in dense traffic. The whole journey is full of continuous hairpin bends and undulating slopes, which pose a double test to the response speed and stability of the vehicle's steering system. The Chenglong Yiwei 5 can collect real-time data on the vehicle speed, slope gradient, and load through the body sensors, and dynamically adjust the power distribution ratio between the engine and the motor to achieve an accurate match between power output and complex road conditions. The rigid adjustment of the chassis effectively suppresses the vehicle body roll and improves the steering precision. The driver doesn't need to frequently correct the direction, and the cornering operation is smoother and more comfortable.

The route from Yu County, Yangquan to the Jingye Iron and Steel Group in Pingshan is often called the ultimate challenge in freight transport. Passing by the former site of the 18-turn road maintenance station on the G207 National Highway, the road clings to the cliffs, and the mountain road bends are narrow and steep. During the climbing stage, the Chenglong Yiwei 5, with the coordinated effect of its 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform and dual-drive electric drive axle, achieves a powerful power output of up to 620 horsepower, ensuring sufficient and uninterrupted power under heavy-load conditions.
