Lightweight Benchmark! Chenglong H5V Platform Wins Lightweight Award Again

Following the previous conference where the Chenglong H5V Green Pass Cargo Truck won the Lightweight Award, at this conference, the Chenglong H5V LNG Tractor once again received recognition from authoritative industry experts, winning the Lightweight Award with the honor of "Excellent Commercial Vehicle Model". Having won the Lightweight Award for two consecutive conferences, the series of products from the Chenglong H5V platform have become the benchmark for lightweighting in China's commercial vehicle industry.

During the exchange session of the Commercial Vehicle Body Conference, the technical team of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor delivered a keynote speech titled Research and Application of Key Technologies for Lightweighting Chenglong H5V Tractors. They shared Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor's latest lightweighting technological achievements with the industry and conducted in-depth discussions with the expert panel and conference delegates present.

Lightweighting has always been an important brand label of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor's Chenglong. As a pioneer in carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, Chenglong Trucks have always adhered to the "customer-centric" philosophy. Based on customers' actual usage scenarios, Chenglong continuously drives the innovation and upgrading of lightweighting technology through the application of new structures, materials, and processes in lightweighting technology.

As the culmination of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor's lightweighting technology, the Chenglong H5V LNG tractor applies over 40 lightweighting technologies. The body and chassis materials utilize more ultra-high-strength steel, high-strength and high-toughness aluminum alloy, and high-strength composite non-metal materials. Through the mixed application of multiple lightweight materials, it meets the lightweighting requirements of the entire vehicle, achieving a vehicle weight reduction to 7.95 tons, which is more than 300 kg lighter than comparable products. Based on an annual operation of 200,000 kilometers and a freight rate of 0.3 yuan per ton-kilometer, the annual additional income can reach 20,000 yuan.

The Chenglong H5V LNG tractor is the first domestically designed and developed gas-powered truck. It is equipped with a dedicated Longxin powertrain and incorporates 35 innovative technologies for natural gas vehicles, resulting in higher and more stable transmission efficiency through integrated tuning. Additionally, the vehicle adopts Longhu big data intelligent control strategies, accurately identifying operating conditions based on 800,000 units of operational data to optimize the vehicle to its optimal running state. This enables a reduction in gas consumption to 26 kg per hundred kilometers, saving 2-3 kg compared to similar models. Based on an annual driving distance of 150,000 kilometers, it can save fuel costs of 20,000 yuan annually compared to similar models.
