Groundbreaking Held for Liudong New Area Special-Purpose Vehicle Production Base —— Cooperative Project of DFLZM and Chengli Group

Recently, the groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Liudong New Area Special-Purpose Vehicle Production Base, a cooperative project between Dongfeng Liuzhou MOTOR Co., Ltd. (DFLZM) and Chengli Group. The two enterprises will pursue collaborative innovation, complementary advantages and resource sharing, making "Liuzhou-made" special-purpose vehicles renowned nationwide and across the globe, and injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of Liuzhou’s automotive industry.

At the ceremony, Liu Shengyou, Mayor of Liuzhou, announced the official groundbreaking of the project. Suo Shenjing, Deputy Secretary of Liuzhou Municipal Party Committee; Cheng Aluo, Chairman of Chengli Group; and Bao Dan, Deputy Party Committee Secretary of DFLZM, delivered speeches respectively.

All attendees stated that Liuzhou is currently anchored on the strategic goals of advancing new-type industrialization, fostering new quality productive forces and building a strong manufacturing city. It further implements the three-year initiative to upgrade traditional industries and expand emerging industries, accelerates the development of the "10+N" modern industrial system, and takes solid strides toward high-quality economic and social development.

Chengli Group has long focused on its core business of special-purpose vehicles and emergency equipment. Its sales of sanitation vehicles and light-duty special-purpose vehicles have ranked first nationwide for many consecutive years. The Group is now actively exploring industrial restructuring under the framework of "special-purpose vehicles + emergency equipment + intelligent robotics", which is highly aligned with Liuzhou’s industrial layout.

The project is estimated to involve a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan. Upon full operation, it will achieve an annual output of 20,000 special-purpose vehicles and an annual output value of 10 billion yuan. The first phase covers a planned land area of 137 mu with a total investment of 800 million yuan, and will be built into a modern intelligent manufacturing base for special-purpose vehicles integrating R&D, production, supporting facilities and services.

Leveraging Liuzhou’s complete automotive industrial chain foundation, the project will effectively drive the clustering and development of upstream and downstream supporting industries, raise the local supporting rate of auto parts, and inject strong impetus into the upgrading of Liuzhou’s automotive industrial cluster.

This cooperation marks a substantive step for both sides in industrial coordination and resource complementarity, and serves as an important measure for Liuzhou’s automotive industry to accelerate the development of a modern industrial system and advance high-quality development.
